- "One life. No guns. Trigger gates to kill enemies"
- —Description from Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions.
Pacifism is a game mode introduced in Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 and has since then become a staple game mode.
It is featured quite frequently in Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, it makes several different appearances in Adventure, Ultimate and Hardcore Mode, as well as appearing in Classic Mode.
Gameplay (Classic)[]
The player is completely unable to shoot, instead the player is tasked with leading enemies through Gates in order to destroy them. Only one life is given to the player, and no bombs are present. The objective is fairly straightforward, dodge and destroy the enemy until you are completely surrounded.
The only enemies that spawn in a classic game of Pacifism is the Grunt. These enemies spawn in groups in the 4 corners of the map, and their numbers constantly rise. Their speed doesn't increase as quickly as in other game modes, making them fairly easy to dodge if given enough space.
But eventually they will spawn quicker than the player can destroy them, then it becomes a case of destroying as many as possible until the player makes either a fatal mistake or becomes completely overwhelmed.

Tips[]
- The player is advised to constantly fly through gates in order to not only thin out their numbers frequently, but also to clear a path if cornered, since space becomes a bigger issue the longer a game goes on.
- The gates can always be dangerous, since the two edges of a gate kills the player. They are especially tricky to fly through when they're in a group.
- The player should stay away from the corners if possible, since enemies only spawn there. Never stop in the corners, doing so will most likely cause the player to be completely surrounded by enemies
